Samuel Merriam joined Hayden Harper in 2024, bringing a strong foundation in tax accounting and a commitment to helping clients navigate complex tax matters with confidence. He specializes in preparing tax returns for closely held businesses and their shareholders or partners, with a focus on tax compliance, planning, and consulting. Sam works primarily with clients in the professional services, real estate, and retail sectors, offering tailored solutions that align with their unique goals and structures.

Sam earned his undergraduate degree in accounting from Florida State University. After successfully passing all four sections of the CPA exam, Sam relocated to Charlotte in 2023.

Outside the office, Sam is passionate about music, fitness, and staying active.
